The Democratic primary elec
tion will be held on Tuesday next.
; It is the duly of every white citi
zen.to go to the polls and vote,
without bias or prejudice, tor the
men who in his judgment are best
qualified, mentally and morally,
for the .positions to which they
aspire. I!; is a source of general
rejoicing that the people of our
.county and stale are not divided
by factional lines, but are untram
melled and can exercise the right
of Buffraga as every America'.i
-citizen should- according to the
dictates of his own conscience.
Fellow-citizens, go to the polls and
caet your ballots like men.
Who carried or caueed liquor to
be carried to ihe county campaign
meeting at Centre Springs ? This
is a question that is being asked
by some good men who wore there.
The writer was unablu to attend
. that meeting but bas been reliablv
informed that one gentleman,
whose veracity (aunot be ques
tioned, saw as meny as uine quarts
of OUH biand of "case goods," not
the X's that are usually in evi
dence on such occasions. If liquor
was carried to this meeting for
political purposes, all right-think
ing men-men who stand for law
and order, men who stand for good
government and purity in politics
-should vote against the man,
whoever ho is, in whose interest
it is being used.
