Fertilizers are being hauled from our
depot in larger quantities than for
several years past. This may mean that
our farmers intend to plant more cot
ton than last year, but we cannot be
lieve but that they will plant a suffi
ciency of tor>d crops.
The free schools of Edgefield county
are in a more satisfactory condition
than for years, and now is the time to
e-Uu-cate the children, to lead 'em out

The State Fair Society have offered
three special prizes for the heaviest
hogs shown at the next Fair-$30, $20

A little negro child two years o'd,

off from its home last Thursday night,
