J. Rambo, Julius Day, John Lott, .Tohn iet, James A. Talbert, Luke Culbroath, Samuel evens, Win. S. Mobley. Geo. D. Huiet and .Jo b Padgett, were appointed a Board for said strict by an Act passed at the last Session of Legislature, for the Relief of Soldiers' F~ami s, to carry out the provisions of said Act, with er to assess a tax of 40 per cent. on the Gene- I tax of the State for said District, if so much ] ght be necess.ary. Tho Board held its first meeting at this place the 20th January last, and organized by ebect Wm. S. Mobley, Chairman. and John Iluiet< 'ry and Treasurer.
