irregular attendance at school, is the origin of
greater hindrances to a child's progress in learning
than any other cause. - How indifferent will a child
soon become to its books if indulged in irregular
study, and how despondent must it become, whn,
after a few days or weeks absence, it sees its clans
mates wading depths that it can not fathom ! Is it
not too likely to conclude that its intellect is weak,
and that it must not dare to aspire even to medi
ocrity ?
