It is a sad thing to be called upon to record the death of even a single member of a family, but such a dity becomes truly painful, when a whole faimily of Lovely children are suddenly snatched from the fond embrace of affectionate parents. Such has been the case in the present instanee. The inexora ble hand of Death has been laid upon those, whose -deaths are here announced, and proluced a void in 'the hearts of sorrowing parents which all the world -cannot fill. Lovely in their lives. and giving aliun dant promise of thise qualities which make life use ful and beautiful, now, that they are dead, they de :serve more than a passing notice. Although, in affection. more dear to doting parents than to others, yet in admiration, all, who knew thetn, regarded 'them alike. The eldest, a lovely daughter, though of tender age, gave ample evidence on her death bed, Ithat she was fully conscious of her happy destination. :and with a sweet resignation, endeavoured to cam 'the distressed minds of her parents, by the asurance -that Death. to her was but the gate to Heaven. In Iher ease, how apt are the words of the poet: " All that's bright must fade, The brightest still the fleetest; All that's bright was made. But to be lost when sweetest." Asrespects the little boys, it required no profond :inuight into human nature to observe in them the .seeds of much promise; and, although their ages did not allow of their making manifestations on the .dying bed like their interesting sister, yet the com mand of Christ: "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not," is enough to console the almost broken hearts of their disconsolate pa rents.
