the premises formerly owned by Jonathan Till
man deceased, upon the 13.1 day of December
next, the following Real and Personal Estate:
One Tract of Land (very valuable) situated
on Horn's Creek and Rav's Creek, in this Dis
triet, about five miles S~uth of Edgetield Court
House, and containing by old survey SIX llUN
DRED AND, SEVENT?-ONE Acres. This
tmct lies adjoiuing lands of Mrs. Susan A.
Roper, Estate- of Sampson B. Mays deceased,
Whitfield and Mien Additon, John Rainsfurd
and Dr. Edward J. Mims. Upon it are about
sixty-five or seventy Acres of choice low
grounds, near one hundred and tifty Acres of
first rate-o.aand hickory wo,.dland, about thi e
hundred Acres of cleared Land, (all under good
fincing,) the balance beig grown up in pine
thickets. On the premises are two very good
dwelling houses (one of them newly repaired)
and all needful outbuildings in very good condi
tion.
An aere, embracing the Family Burial ground,
will be the only reservation as to the land.
I will also sell at the same time and on the
same place the following superb gang of nt
groes,. viz: Isaac, Ned, George, Henry, Jin,
Abrami; Wade, Nancy, Charlotte, Sarah and her
ohild Vincent, Justice and her two children
Emma and Mary, Joanna and her four children
William, Rose, Phillis and Jacob. Out of thiN
family nearly every purchaser can be suited.
There are among them a good shoe-maker, a
skilful wagoner, and, best of all, several excel
lent cooks. Of the number, there are eleven
grown hands.
I will'naso sell on the samne occa'ion all thd
household and kitchen furniture, five head of
mules and three head of horses, the stock of
oattle, sixteen head of sheep, a lot of hogs, one
wagon, one carriage, one set of blacksmith's
tools, one set of carpenter's tools, the present
crop of corn, fodder and slucks, cotton-seed
&c.. &c.. &c.
Terms of Sale. The land will be sold on a
oredit of one and two years from the day of
sale, purchaser being required to give bond to
secure the purchase-money, with at least two
good sureties. The negro slaves and other
personalty will be sold on a credit of twelve
months from day of sale, bonds and ample
sureties required.
So much of the purchase money of the land
and negroes as will be required to defray the
expenses of this suit must be paid down at the
time in cash.
Purchasers are also to pay for titles.

and Cook's house, wi:h brick chimneys-Smoke
House, Meal Room, Store Room and Dairy-Ten
Negro Houses, built wit'in the last five or six years,

Perrons residing in Abbeville, Newberry, or the
Lower or Eastern part of this District. who desire
