RELIGIOUS WORSHIP AT HAVANA.-The Bishop. of Jamaica, accompanied by Lord Warneliffe and Lord Charles Harvey, who are on iit 'ii to Havana, made a personal ap plieniionto the Captain General on the 25th uit. for-permission to worship in the parlor of the hotel ofMrs. Brewer, where they were staying, and..to perform the aceustoined riteR of their church, which was responded to " that it was contrary to the law of the land." ire. Brewer bad declined permitting public worship ini her house, unless in conformity with: the rites of the Established Church without authority of the Captain General, for the reason that it would be in contraven tion of the well known law-known to the stranger a well as the permanent re.,ident and for violatiin of which the authorities would have closed her house immediately.
