T HE FIRST SESSION commences Septem ber 18th. The Institute building will contain eight Rooms, all of which are appropriated to purpo ses of instruction. A fine apparatus; a large collection of Maps; Anatomical Charts, Globes, &e; a Museum of Natural History; a Cabinet of Minerals and Shells ; furnish unusual facilities for acquiring a practical knowledge of the different branches of Science. Two new Pianos have been purchased in ad dition to those already in the Institute. The course of Study is of an elevated charac ter, and more comprehensive, than that of most female institutions of the highest reputation. The PRIXCIPAL devotes the whole of his time to the supervision and instruction of the various classes. The Assistants are experienced in their diffe rent Departments, and those only of known suc cess in teaching are employed. The Academical year is divided into Sessions of 14 weeks each. It is of great importance that the student be present at the commencement of the Session. The Classes are then formed, and a few weeks delay may affect the standing of the pupil throughout the year. Tuition is charged but from the time of en trance to the end of the Session. Payments are to be made at the closo of each Session. Uunusual facilities are given for a thorough Musical Education. In addition to other improvements, which are now in progress, a large covered playgronnd, for exercise in wet weather, and a gymnasium, are to be erected.
