Not only .so, she came to them with the sword in one hand and the. purse in the other, and told them they must give up half of Texas for the coin in her purse-most of it their own hard earnings-or she would take it by the sword. .She-has killed, by her injustice, her terma genev, her besottedness with the lust of powr, the remaining sparks of filial affection, and, all the seessionists propose to do, i. to takecenre of themselves hereafter. By the recent tornado 'in Richmond, Ill., several hiouses were blown down; Lewis Peterson was dangerously wounded, and his wife nnd t wo children instantly killed ; Sam ner Nelson's wife wvas killed ; and immetnse damage wvas done to forms and mills.
