Correspondence of the Advertiser. HAMBURG, April 15. Mr. Editor :-The last two weeks have been quiet ones go far as business goes. Last week we had a small edition of Noah's flood ; no great damage done, except destroying gardens, wash ing down fences, &c. No Goods were lost, I believe. Our Commission and other Merchants com plain of the great difficulty of getting Goods off, destined for the up-country. The quantity of Goods seeking conveyance is very great, and our country friends can obtain loading to wherever they desire it. Our cotton market is quiet, under the influ ence of a decline of j cent in New York. I quote fair to prime I I a 1 I cents. Bacon Sides 101 a 11 ets Shoulders SI a 9 ets ; lams 121; Corn 90 cents; Meal $1. COLUMBIA, April 15. The demand for Cotton was less active to-day, and when business closed in the evening it was ascertained that prices had lost j of what they had gained on Friday and Saturday ; Fair Cotton settling down at 11 cents.- Telegraph. CHARLESTON, April 14 Our cotton market is unsettled and prices are irregular, but decidedly more in favor of buyers. Mr. EDIToR: I offer for the consideration of the voters of this Congressional District, Col. F. W. PIcKENs and DRAYToN NANCE, Esq., as candidates to represent it in the Southern Congress. They are gentlemen of ripe experience, of tried patriotism, and united to the State by the highest ar.d holiest ties. These gentlemen would possess some ad vantages from their attendance upon the Nashville Convention above many others, no less worthy and qualified in other respects. A VOTER.
