From the Columbia Telegraph. Seven Days Later News from Europe. ARRIVAL OF THE PACIFIC. SLIGHT ADVANCE IN COTTON. NEW YoniK, March 6. The American ocean steamship Pacific, Captain Nye, from Liverpool, arrived at this port this evening. The Pacific sailed from Liverpool on the 22nd of February, and accomplished her pas sage in eleven days and fifteen hours. The Arctic's accounts of increased receipts caused 1-8 d. decline in cotton, which brought spinners and exporters out, and the market - closed with more firmness, and at rather higher prices than those prevalent at the de parture of the Europa. The lower and mid dling qualities had advanced 1.8 d. Brazil, Surat and Egypli:tn were unchanged. The week's sale amounted to sIXTY-TWo TrOU SAND BALEs. The oflicial quotations of the board of brokers were as follows: Fair Or leans, 74d.; Mobile, -did.; Uplands, 7 d. There had been large imports of Bread stuff, both of grain and flour, which had depressed the market. Western canal flour was quoted at 193 a 21s.; Baltimore 22 a 23,. and white corn at 32s. Money was easy. Consols closed at 96J for money. Lord John Russell, the British premier, has resigned, but retains office until the appoint ment of his successor. France has remonstrated against Austria entering into the German confederacy. Many changes have taken place in the high official functionaries of the French government. Poland is filled with Russian troops. For what purpose this force is being concentra ted, we are unable to state. Accounts from Constantinople state that in all probability, a rupture between the powers of Turkey and Egypt is inevitable.
