Mr. A. L. Scovill.-Haviug been afflicted
with a most distressing Cough, until my Lungs
became affected to such a degree that I was
continually spitting blood; and being under
the cart of an able physician, without obtaining
any relief until I procured a bottle of Dr. Rod

health in a very shoit time.

Tram the Hon. Judge William Burke, late
lSostmaster of the city of Cincinnati for more
than twenty years.
The statement of Justice Finch is entitled to
the fullest confidence of the public. I can fully
corroborate what he has said, having used the
medicine myself with the most decided benefit.
WILLIAM BURKE.
Cincinnati, Autg. 12, 1845.
A REMARKABLE CURE OF CONSUMPTION.
Mr. Scol-1 was taken with a most dis
tressing cough, and my lungs became so dis,
eased that I bled in a short time several qnarts.
I was reduced so low that all of my friends,
and even my physicians, thought I must die of
Consumption: My brother hearing of the
remarkable cures made by Dr. Roger's Liver
wort and Tar, procured a bottle, and before I
had taken one half of it, it seemed to go to the
very seat of the disease. I raised a large quan
tity of phlegm and matter, and my cough was
stopped as by a charm. And by its use I was
restored to perfect health.

Mr. A. L. Scovill-As Dr. Rodger's Liver

my companion froni a premature grave ! I
feel uuder the obligation to give my influence
to the circulation of so valuable a medicine.
HENRY WISEMAN.
Patriot, Gallia co-, O , Dec, 23, 1846.
[From Dr. Wilson.]
I have been die family physician of Mr.
Wiseman fur *the lost twelve years; during
that time Mrs. Wiseman has been suffering
from diseased lungs. And finally all the symp
toms of Pulmonary Gonsumption appeared.
All the usual remedies failed. At this time she
commenced using Dr. Rodger's Liverwort and
Tar. It acted like a charm. In a few days
she declared herself nearly well. I have no
doubt of its virtnes, aitd would cheerfully r!
commend it to persons afflicted with diseased
lungs. H. R. WILSON, M. D.

THE DISPATCH ",.
December 31st says
AN INVALUABLE MEDICINE.--We
have frequently heard the Celebrated German
Bitters, manufactured by Dr. Hooflandi spoken
of in terms of commendation;, and we know
deservedly so. It is a too common practice, is
certain quaters, to puff all manner of useless
trash, but in the case of the above Bitters, huti
dreds are liysiig.witnesses of their great' moral
and physical -worth. As a medicine for the
Liver Complaint, Jaundice, Nervois Debility
and Dyspepsia, it has been found -invaluable,
effecting cures and thorough ly eradicating dis
eases. when all other medicires have failed.
We fell convinced, tbbt ip the use of the Ger..
