From the Baltimore Patriot, 22d tlt. LATER FRM EUROPE. ARRIVAL OF THE CA.EDONIA AT HALtPAX. The Steamer Caledonia. Capt. Leech., arrived at 1;tlifax aboni seven o'clock on Thursday evening, and *ill be due at her -wharf in Boston at an early hour on Sat urday morning. The Caledonia has 45 passengers for - oston, exclusive of 18 of the 42 survivors of the ill-Fated barque Charles Bartlett, of Plymouth. Milass., Win. Bartlett. master. This vessel on Wednesday, 27th June, at half-past 3 o'clock P. M., about 700 miles to the westward of Cape Clear, was run down by the-steamtn ship Europa. and sunk in three minutes, with 134 of her pass-ngers and crew. The caltastrophe occurred durin- a dense fog, and although the boats of the Europa were instantly lowered, and every p.assible assistatice ren dered, only 42 out of 176 souls were saved. The captain. mate. anti ten of the crew are among the survivors. The Europa is acquitted of all blame, not only by the survivors, but by the -iinnianimous voice of the British press and public. A subscription of 352 pounds was promptly raised by the passengers of tIte Europa, to which the proprietors have ,Added 20 pounds. They also offiered to zimrry the whole of the survivors to Boston or-New York free I all expense. Tie Europe sustained no material dam age by the collision. The result of this week's business in Liv'erpool are highly satisfactory to almost every branch of trade. The London and provisional markets in the absence of home supplies have been equally active. COTTON MARKET. Tne operations of the week have not been so extensive as those oft he last %%eelk, but the markets is firm, with a slight up ward tendency, and actual advance of the price [per lb. in the lower qualities ofr American. This week's transactions have reached 58,855 bales, of which ]6.500 were taken on speculation, and 5000 for export. The Arnerican deseriptions sold consist of 14,000 at 4d. to 15Ad.; middling - 41d.; fair 4j; 22.000 bales New-Orleans at 31d. a Gd.; middling 4jd.; fair 51d.; 14.000 Alabama and Mobilk at 4 1-16 a 5d.; middling 41; fair 4j; and 500 Sea Island at 8 a 141. They were said to have taken a route towards Acs, prior to the capture of Raab. Georgy, by dechning to risk a battle at Raab, and retreating towards Gran. deceived the Austrians. The Russians were under the necessity of leaving sorne 20.000 men before Com orn. Georgy, howAever, would never have abondoned Raab. except with the view of detaching a portion of his force against Paskewitch.
