were stop~ped by Qninine anid oilier things, but.d
a~er a few days or weeks thmey wotuld retiurn
again, as bad or worse thant before Troivards r
lhe last the chills camne only every third day,r
ad these were followved by fever of such se
verity as to affect toy reason and it wvas fotnnd
necesary for some one to wiatchi with me tn
the paroxysm passedl ofi. At last [ proccured
a box of'your pills, atid otnly took four of them;
this so completely stopped the chills, that~ I
have never had a return of them tip to this
tie, (nearly two years) and ntear a year -of(
this time was passed in the same place where I
first caught the disease. . .
That mny case is not one cured by-chance is
proven from the fact that fonr pills out of the
same box cured Capt. Reuben Banks, so ef
fectually hat lie has never had the disease since, ~
whereas before he often suffered from it. T wo
olier person were also cured by the contents of
this same box, and they neither of thema have
had a retnrn of it although they both reside

I know several others who have been etnrcul
by yotur pills, but it is unnecessary to detail
their cases. The best certificates of their effici

have been to me they may be truly called a pub.

MEDICINEr
N offering this valudble Medicine to the peo
ple of S. Carolina fro the relief and cure of
iany diseases incident to a Sonthern climate,
do not claim for it infallibility; neither do I
ny it will cure all diseases. But in
b
0HRONIC LIVER AFFECTIONS c
AND DYSPEPSIA. a
I can confidently advise and recommend its s
se, from ry personal observation and use of ti
ic article in my own practice. This article is f
ivorably received wherever it has been used. a
am allowed to refer to Mr. George Heard of C
'roup, Mr. John Warren of Columbus, Mr. v
JeAffee of Cobb, Mr. Asbury Hull of Athens, fI
1r. William D. Terrell of Putnam, Rev'd. v
ohn E. Dawson of Lagrange; to which a F
reat number of names might be added, who c
ear their testimony to its value. 4
Habitual costiveness is found very frequently E
onnected with feeble constitutions, and per- r
ons of sedentary habits, which often exert a I1
cry unfavorable influence upon the general 1r
ealth of the subject; and is particularly mani- d
ested by a restless and desponding state of the c
mind, irregular if not a loss of appetite. For r
iis condition of the system, this article is confi- c
ently recommended with the positive assur- t
nce that if the dose is properly adjusted, so as a
lotto move the bowels too actively, relief may t
e relied on, without any, even the least of the I
ipleasant consequences, resulting from the. I
se of the commonm purging medicines usually
esorted to. This article will be found to act I
s a pleasant cordial and tonic, restoring the
ppetite, and at the saune time fdlfilling every t
idicatioi that the common purging medicines s
re designed to effect.
There are some constitutions liable to regau a
r attacks of Bdious fever almost every fall, i
such, I- recommend the use of this Medicine, I
eginning at least by the middle of May, or first I
f June.
Many persons whose Digestive organs are 9
eeble, often experience a senso of fullness. v
veight, and- oppression, about the stomach af t
Dr eating-in such cases a dose of this medi- t
ine will often afford immediate relief. - P
Pregnant women often suffer from heart I
uirn and costiveness, they may use the article i
vithout the least danger and with great benefit, I
ii sick or nervous head-ache, it is a most vain. r
ble medicine
I could append a long list of certificates, but I
wrbear, preferring to rely on the virtues of the
iedicine to sustaiim itself. The medicine is a
entle and certain cathartic. tonic'and sudorific,
