now offering to planters, the article does
no! come in very freely ; indeed, the re
cci pts are nncommonly light when com
pared with the receipts of our usual lively
market at this seasou of the year. As
might be expected business generally, is
not very extensive, sales are few from
wagons and ware-houses, as there is no
great quantity te'deal in. Extreme pri
ces are from 54 ets. to 7 ets. according to
quality-principal sales, 64 to.6# ets.
Groceries 8;c.-Our merchants have
fine stocks of groceries, on hand, as well
as their Dry Goods neighbors, all of whom
are offering their articles at very fair
prices. Bacon, Flour, Sugar and most
of the pealing articles in this market are
crawling down gradually. Several arri
va's of Corn in town are noticed, fully
