R.Canpbell, from the water of the highly eclebrated 3iucral Springs, in Itockboridge county Va., talled hie Alum Springs. aThese waters in their effects upon the system are tonic, increasing the ipp..ito. and pronotimng digestion, ihey are almernative, exciting the secreions of the ;land'ilar system generally, and particulai if the liver and kidieys; they am cathartic, produciug copious, dark, billious evacun ions; and they also effect a determination to the surface, increasing the perspiration. Front the combination of all these effects upop the system, they are a great purifier ot* the blood, and equalizer of the cireula tio. Tite effect of the Pill,, made from thscte waters, are in all respects, similar to ishe nator itself, ind each pill is equal to a common glass of water. I-'or ihe cure of the above diseases, and all other chronic (or blow) discasem, preseverance in the use oif trese .Pills, according to the directions giscn in the small bills. accompanying the pills. is all importaat; and iftbey are- er veringly used as directed, a cure may be more certainly expected, than under any oiter treatment heretofore discovered. ex cept from the use of the water.from which they are prepared either by an attendance at the Springs or otherwise. They very speedily cure diarrhcens attondedl with acidity of the stomach, and what iq comn inmonly called heai-burn; i w. or three pills may be taken at any time, whoe the sntn acb is troubled with acidity, with the hap piest effect. These Pills have an excel. lect effect in preventing the attacks of nervous or sick-headache ; from three to six pills should be taken at once, when the symptoms are felt. These waters are an efectual remedy for all hemorrhages; and as the Pills have the same effect in ott.er cases, it is believed they will also have the same efect in cases u' hemorrhage. They cnre dropies in wme cases. but are not an itafalible remedy in nil cases of this disease. Froin the efficacy of thesc waters and pill, in purifying the b!ood, they are in vatluable in the cure of all diseaes 0: twe ,kin, and all indolent eores. n disposed to a healthy action. In the use of them for such diseases, if the disease of the skin appears to be -rietaeted at first, or -if the ulicers become more inflamed and discharge maore freely, let not this circumstance alarm any cone, or deter him from psersevering in heir use. Those are evidences of the omod effect+ of the Pills in expelling mthe bitiated humors fromt the blood to tl.e wrface. and until the blood is purified, mtch udiseaee catnnot be cured.
