Resolved, That the Committee consider the propriety of reconnnending the forma tion of Joint Stock Companies to assist in promoting a direet import and export trade with Europe. Col. Marsh offered the following resoln tion, which was adopted: Resolved, That it he refercd to the Con mittee of twenty -one to considher the expe diency of reconmcuding to the Legislatures of the several Stntes and 'Territories repre sented in the Convention. the adoption of a liberal system of internal Improvemens. On motion of Mr W. L. Mitchell, Col Marsh was added to the. Committee of twenty-one. The Convention then adjourned till 12 o'clock, to-morrow. Tuesday, 12 o'clock. The Convention met this day, according to previous arrangetnent. The lion. A. B. Longstreet, from the Committee of21, stnted tht the Coinit -tee was not yet ready to report, and asked for further time--granted. Mr. Boyce moved that Alex. Black, Mr. - Jamison and A. -McDowell, be added to the Committee of 21. - Mr. Pollard, of Mabaama, presented the liroeeedings of a Convention recently beh! at Huntsville, Ala. which. after heing r:ad. were on motion of Mr. Dearing, ordered to be recorded. Dr Rtobertson presented the following resolution, which was ordered to be referred to the Committee of 21. Resolved ''hat the Committee of 21 he requested to inqire whether any of the Banks have entered into arrangemtents wit h foreign Banks, by which letters ofcredit can be obtained upon sulliciient seenrity, by those desiring to enter into direct imporia tions--nut if snch arrangements have not been made, to ascertoin as far as posible, the causes that operate against the accotn plishtetnt of so desirable an object. Mr. Boyce, of Charleston, said that the matter embraced in the resolution of 11r. Robertson ,n as already before the Commit tee of 21, and had been referred to a sub committee. Mr. John A. Calhoun, of S. C. otl'red the following resolution; Resolved, That it be referred to the Con mtittee of21 to report as to the heat prae ticable ncans of inducing our mercbants to patronize Southern ports. Afler some remarks by Mr. Calhoun, the resolution was adopted. Mr. Bellinger of S.
