Bellamy, colored, who waylaid, shot
and killed Amos M. Williams in this
county on the 2d ol January, 1S7I,
was arrested last week in Onslow
county, N. CM by Mr. Giles TjOO, and
lodged in jail in that county. Mr.
Leo was hero last Monday and made
affidavit of the fact, and to identity of
Bellamy. The papers were forwarded
to Governor Hampton for a requisition
on the Governor ol North Carolina lor
the rendition ol the fugitive, and an
dibit will bo made to get Bellamy
h?re in time for trial at Court, week
after next.
