publishes the detail* of the
"Great head" cure for diphtheria.
The diseaso is declared by Mr. Greathead
to l>e of hydrated growth, and
that germs of it, floating about in cor
tain atmospheres, were inhaled by
human beings. The remedy in, "for a
grown person, four drops of sulphuric
acid diluted in three quarter* of a
tumbler of water; with a smaller dose
for a child."
Ttfis remedy has bean tried in one
very severe case in this county, and
the relief was almost instantnniou*.
Mrs. M. I). Graham'* young daughter
aged about 13, had been sick with the
disease over a week, and hope and
life had nearly ebbed out; Jlor foui
days she had taken no nourishment;
the remedy was given, and in thret
day* she was up and about. The doge
in this cast was two drops ihreo time*

driven T. C. Dunn a certificate under
oath that he (Dunn) had received 32

General, at Simpson Creek poll in the
late election, Mr. Long writes to us
that there is not a shadow of truth

his house Monday night, and stayed

hut said that having some leisure
time lie had come to Horry to see why
his name was scratched at Simpson
