The Grange nt Little Liver has heon
revived and now has a set of excellent
officers and membership, all practical
farmers, and it is now in excellent
working trim and will go ahead prosperously.
We have never heard other
wise than that the (Jrange at Soecastee
was doing excellent work, and
only two weeks ago a Grange under
tho name of Waccamaw Grange, live
milts from here, was organized oi first
rate practical farmers, and is hound to
do well. It is true that "Port Ilarrcl80n'
and "Kingston Granges' have holh
kicked the bucket, but. they bad too
many members who were not farmers,
and not enough of the farm element.
Tho instilution of Patrons of Hits
bandry is for the special benefit of the
farmer. '1 he protection of agricultural
it *'tri?is, ami tho moral ami social
clgilion of tho larmer and his family,
and it will do it whenever tho Grange
is made nj> of members of the right,
kind. Men who see tho necessity for
improvement in agriculture, ami who
desire a higher standard of moral
status, and a more refined elevated
sociability in their neighborhood will
be vastly benefitted by the order.
All other classes of industries and
professions have their associations for
the protection of their varied interests.
And why should not tho fanner, on
whose products the whole world independent
for a living, have his association
for tho protection of his industries
