Walk Kit's Vim iak Bittkun have
shown their great curative powers in the
most obstinate atul intractable oases.
For Inflammatory and ( hr< .

Tin, Tape, and oilier Worms,
lurking in the system of so many thousands,
are effectually destroyed and removed. No

Cleanse the Vitiated Wood whenever
you lind its impurities bursting through

cleanse it when you lind it obstructed and

p A Touching Case.
During tlm last week the Journal
lias announced the death, at the Hotel
Hates, ol Thomas L. Salisbury and
l .li/.a k. Sali ihurv his wile t lm funum*
having died on Monday, the l*Uh, and
the latter on Saturday evening, the
21st. Some ot the circumstances at0
tending.the death ot these two most
~ amiable and excellent persons were
not ouls very touching, but rather]extraordinary.
They formerly resided
ift St. Louis, and while there, were
called upon to mourn the loss of two
line children, their sole family, who
were lost together while skating near
St. Lonis. They were a young lady
aged eighteen, and a lad of fifteen.
They were drowned on the 21 of February,
lb02, precisely ten years before
the day ot Mrs. Salisbury's death.
This double atlliction almost broke
their hcails, and henceforth they li\cd
for each other alone, concealing their
great grief as those only can understand
who have been similary bereaved.
Naturally congenial and deit
voted to each other, their lives grew
more closely together by reason of
the hard providence which at one dispensation
had removed both their
darlings from their sight without a

word ot parting or warning. Two
? weeks ago when Mr. Salisbury was
r- taken sick, his wife watched at his

and night she ministered to his wants
^ till it was teared her own frame, never
if very strong, would wholly give way.
>1 About twenty-lour hours befor3 his
* death, finding him able to converse a
1 little, she asked him if he knew her.
[ He ?uid "yes," and smiling, called her
L. by name. To her inquiry if he was
r willing to die, he said "yes." She
said "Thomas, you want to go and
see the children, do you not?" lie
answered, "yes." Then she said,
i "Thomas, 1 will follow you soon; do
v you wait for me; I will come very
' soon. From that moment she evinced
no more anxiety about her husband.
s She seemed to regard his death as
ii certain, and her own as soon to fold
low. Yielding to the nd\ice oi friends
1 she retired and sb>|> till just before her
husband's death, when she rose and
hade him good by. Immediately alter
v his death she took to her bed and ho
g in to sink rapidly. No physical de1(
raiigcnient was apparent hut, it was
c a clear ease of broken heart, or insupe
portable sorrow. The doctor did
l' what he could, but it was a ease that
\ wholly ba 111 eel his art. Her malady
. was ol'a kind that no human remedy
i- could reach. The gentle lady was
- entirely resigned to her situate n, and
L> seemed to contemplate her approaching
death with entire composure. During
the week she steadily sank, until
it was apparent that her end was
s near. On Saturday evening, a short
b time before her death, her friends were
, startled to see her lace illuminated by

a bright smile. It beamed with a

light that never shone on sea or land,

e eyes gazed into distance, and her
| band moved as if to welcome some
}j- One. A solemn stillness fell upon the
bystanders, and the thought stiuck
r j nil mat sne was greeting her children.
I From that moment the lady neither
spoke 1101 moved, but sank away
s and passed lrom mortal life with the
il same eloquent smile upon her lace,
e She kept her engagement with the
e husband, and followed soon after him
