of Dr. Kennicott, who spent thirty
years in collating the Hebrew Scriptures,
and resigned a valuable living

When preparing for a drive the day

she asked him what book she should

No wonder he was a happy, wellbalanced
Christian man, as ready to die
calmly in Christ, as he had been to live
and labor for 1 Iim.
His appetite for the word of God increased
with its gratifications. Instead
ol fretting at some tiifling defects in
the translation, his great genius, and
consecrated spirit, found lull satisfaciton
in a lifetime perusal of its sacred
pages.
