We must, commend Trial Justice Johnson for all decisions he has made in criminal eases brought before him. A sentence of six months imprisonment, would be a luxury to Stephen Wilson, and a punishment to lav payers, who^pay lor his feed in jail. The iact is, this race of people were taught by their parents, when slaves, that to steal from their owners was no stealing, but simply taking; and now, that they have no owners to steal from, and are not permitted to linger the State finances, they steal lVoill each oilier.
