WEEREAS A CALL HAS BEEN* ISSUED
by the Republican Slate Executive Committee,
for a convention of the Reoublican party of the
State, to meet in the city of Columbia on the 21st day
of August next, for the purose of nominating candidates
for S'ate officers, and seven electors of President
a^d Vice Presidents of the United States; and,
Whereas, it becomes tny duty as County Chan man.
to t?ue a call for a County Convention to convene in
the town of Beaufort, on Thursday the 13th day of j
August 1872 at 12 o'clock M., forthe purpos of electing
seven (7) delegates to represent this county in the
State convention, and also delegates to sit in the
Congressional convention f?r the purpose of nominating
a candidate for Congress, and a candidate for
Solicitor for the Second Circuit. The Sub-committeemen
will immediately issue their calls for Precinct
meetiugsto elect del "gates to the County Convention,
giving due notice cf the time and place of holding
said meetings.
