MAUDE ADAMS HAS ' A GREAT INVENTION Will Permit Showing Motion Pictures Without Dimming Lights 'New York, Oct. 17.?After three years of ' experimenting, Maude Adams, noted actress, is ready to present for practical use, an invention designed to permit the showing! of motion pictures without dimming the theater lights, according to a report here today. Miss Adams retired from the stagd about three years ago and soon after recovering from a break down began work on the invention at the General Electric company's plant in Schenectady, where she was given a section of the building and permitted to live and work in seclusion. , Many backaches at corn replanting time next year can be saved by selecting new good seed corn and storing it carefully. Galloway of Due West are celebrating today the fortieth anniversary of their marriage.
