I ACE OF CLUBS MEETS On Wednesday afternoon Mrs. Maxwell Smith very pleasantly en;ertained the Ace of Clubs. The smith home on North Main street vas prettily decorated for the occasion with marigolds and sunflowers. Four tables of players were present to enjoy the games, after which efreshments of salad and tea were served. Miss Grace Smith, Miss Mary Smith and Mrs. D. H. Hill assisted in jntertaining. 'THE MAKER OF DREAMS" A SUCCESS 1 i "The Maker of Dreams," a musi- , :al comedy presented under the:] luspices of the U. D. C.'s was shown J Wednesday evening. The play was ' gotten up by Miss Gladys Wilson, I vho took the part of Pierette in the I )!ot. There were two other main | iharacters in the play, Miss Vic | lowie, acting the part of Pierrot j ind W. E. Hill as the "Maker of j | Dreams." This cast was admirably ( supported by a scintillating chorus )f choice beauties. It was a fine: :horus and had a kick to it. There were two quartettes with^i choruses between the scenes of thejj slay. They wqre excellent in every -espect. A write-up of the play vould be incomplete without men- I ,ioning the masterful way that Mrs. I ?loyd Graves handles a piano. Mrs. Alma Kennedy Keer leaves this week for her home at Covington, Tenn., after a visit of some weeks with her mother. Mrs. Sallie Addison, Miss Sara Addison and Miss Virginia Addison have been visiting their friends at Troy. Mr. J. C.
