Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Kay, Mrs. R. B. Cheshire and Mrs. Floyd Graves spent Tuesday afternoon in Green wood. Miss Rebecca Blankenship of Pine ville, N. C., is the visitor of Miss lone Stevenson at her home near Abbeville. Miss Maggie Link will leave Mon day for Greenville and Woodruff where she will spend a two weeks' vacation. Miss Mary Hill Harris left Tues day morning for Greenville where she will visit her sister, Mrs. Henry Haeerman for two weeks. I f Mr. H. A. Benton has sufficiently [recovered from injuries received in an automobile accident two weeks ago to be on the street Wednesday. Dr. J. R. Power has gone to Smith Hospital at Saluda, N. C.f to take a special course in the diseases of ba bies and children. He will be gone about two weeks. Mrs. F. L. Welborne returned home with Mr. and Mrs. u. A. Ward law who have been visiting in Lib erty. After a visit here of several days the whole family will go to Orangeburg county for a visit. Frank and Julian Roche and W. M. Langley accompanied Mr. James Roche to Asheville Monday. They made the trip in good time and left Mr. Roche feeling better. Miss Virginia Pritchard of Blacks burg, Va., is in Abbeville visiting relatives. Miss Pritchard will be honoree at a card party given Thurs day afternoon by Miss Florence Neuffer. Mrs. Gus Lee, Miss Elizabeth Jones and Andrew Hill went to Greenville by automobile Wednes day and spent a few hours with friends. The friends of Rev. and Mrs. G. |M. Telford will be glad to learn that their little daughter, Julia, who has been very ill with scarlet fever, is on the road to recovery. \ Mr. J. D.
