Harris entertained the younger set at a dance at her home on Ellis avenue Saturday night lasting from 9 to 11 o'clock. About 15 were present and enjoyed the evening. BRIDGE CLUB MEETS. Mrs. C. D. Brown entertained the membei's of the bridge chib at the regular meeting on Friday afternoon at her home on North Main street. There were only the members pres ent, and five tables were arranged for the players. The house was cool and bright with decorations of shasta daisies, and a most enjoyable hour was spent playing cards. Refresh ments of salad and iced tea were served. I I Miss Mary Mundy gave an al fres co party at her home on Friday night in compliment to her visitors, Miss Addie Gilmer and Johnnie Gilmer of Knoxville, Tenn. About thirty-five guests were present from Abbeville and Greenwood and a delightful time was spent. The table was laid under the trees and a plate supper was served consisting of fried chick en, salad, sandvftches, ices and cakes. | MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT Mrs. W. P. ENTERTAINS FOR VISITORS Mrs. John A. Harris, Jr. entertain ed in honor of Mrs. J. M. Graham of Colun\bia and Mrs. Henry Hagerman of Greenville at Cards Saturday morning. There were five tables at which bridge was played and one of rook. The house was decorated in shasta -daisies, nasturtiums and cori opsis. After the games a delicious lun cheon course of deviled crab, fruit salad, crackers and tea was served. At the close of the party Mrs. Gra ham was presented with a string of beads and Mrs. Hagerman with a traveling toilet case.
