EVE ATE THE APPLE 1
Question Arise*: How Maay Did
She Eat?
Opinions differ as to the number
of apples eaten by Adam and Eve. If,
as some suppose, only Eve ate an
apple, the total would be 1. But Eve
atfe, and gave Adam to eat, so they
must' have eaten %. Yet, if Eve 8,
the total would be 8 and if Adam
also took 1, the total was 9. Further,
if Eve 8-1 and Adam 1, the total is
10. Again, if Eve 8-1 and Adam 2,
the total is 11. Still further, if Eve
8 and Adam 8 the total is 16. Again,
if Eve 8 and Adam 8 2, the total is
90. But if Eve 8 1 and Adam )8 1 2
the total eaten by both stands at 89S.|Es?a
Still, if Eve 8 12 test the Serpent's Noti
Btory, and Adam 8 12, they total
1,624. Once more, if Eve 8 12 test
the Serpent's story, and Adam 8 12
2 keep her company, the total is 8,
934. Finally, if these figures are cor
rect and they 2, 8 8934 2 become
Gods according to the Set-pent's
promise, the grand total will stand
2,889,342 apples. No wonder that
meal brought trouble to the race.
