dozen of her friends at a pleasant
\ party Wendesday afternoon at her

J was a sewing party and the guests =
I were engaged in making many dainty

son who lost all her wearing apparel
; when the Thomson home was burned ;j;
last Saturday. The time passed most
pleasantly, each lady being energetic
at her task. ;j;
A salad course was served at the !j!
close of the afternoon. The tables !j
were spread in the garret which had ;j;
been so beautifully decorated for the ;jl;
children's party on Friday. The place jjj
cards were of the Halloween fancy.

The Ladies Society of the Associate
Reformed church held its annual !;l
social meeting Thursday afternoon
at the home of Mrs. J. F. Bradley on m
Wardlaw street. There were about ^
- twenty-five members present and
several invited guests. After a short
devotional exercise conducted by
Mrs. Klugh, a social hour was enjoy
ed during wh*'ch time Mrs. Bradley
and Sarah Tiddy played a duet, Mrs.
Sally Bradley gave several selections
Jon the piano and several favorite
! records were given on the Victrola,
I after which the guests were invited
> into the dining room and served
11 sandwiches, punch and wafers.

' Monday afternoon in McCormick by

later to Mr. Prince's home
near Antreville where they will live.
