I I The marriage of Miss Lois Little and Mr Ernest Young was solemnized at the home of the bride's parents, Mr anl Mrs. C. E. Little, in Whitmire, at half past eight o'clock, June 30th. The house was prettily dcc.irfc.ted and before the ceremony Mrs. I. P. Simpson, sung, "0 Promise Me" and "I Love you Truly" after which came .he bridal party. The bridesmaids were Miss Eunice Drennan, of Clin'on and Miss Alice Copeland, of .lenno with Mr Guy Shannon and Mr J. W. Gary as groomsmen; little Carrie Lou Ross was ^he flower girl :'.nd Helen Mays carried the ring. Miss Kathleen Patterson, of Abbeville was maid of honor and Mr. G. A. Young, a brother of the groom, was his best man. The bride was given away by her father and the impressive ceremony, was performed by Rev. K. P. Simpson. The bride wore a beautiful dress of white satin with veil and carried a shower bouquet. The wedding march was played by Miss Nona Barksdale, accompanied by Mr. A. C. Williamson on the violin. Immediately after the ceremony a reception was held, the friends of the voune coude showering them them with good wishes and congratu-' lations. ? Mr. and Mrs. Young will spend a short honeymoon in the mountains after which they will make their home in Whitmire where Mr. Young has an excellent business and ineir own home is in course of construction.
