\ > V LOWNDES VILLE V > N Mr T. C. Liddell and Mrs. Delma Boles Tucker were married at the home of the bride's father, Mr. S. S. Boles, by Rev. N. G. Ballenger, June 16. After a short trip to Charleston and other points, they are now at home on Baker street. For several years, Mrs. Liddell has been efficient postmistress at this place and has many friends who j " wish for her all the happiness that the years can bring. Mr. Liddell also holds a responsible position with the mail service and is receiving the congratulations of his friends upon this auspicious occasion. Various committees have been appointed by the chairman, Mr. .T Moseley Hucka/bee, of the Monu ment -Fund to solicit money iur me erection of a monument to memorialize the ten young persons who lost their lives in the Harper's Ferry tragedy. All of the bodies have- been recovered except that of Lir. Charles Meschine. A vacant place is reserved by the side of his sister's grave, should his body be recovered. It is hoped that the people of our county will respond to this noble cause. The placing of a suitable monument above their graves is all we can do for those unfortunate ones, who once lived and lived and lovel, walked the earth full of hope and worthy aspirations and, seeming by at an untimely hour, passed from life unto death. Dr. Kirkpatrick has taken his entire family to Ashville for the summer. He will return in a few days and take up hs usual rounds.
