The general election for city officers
will be held tomorrow. Mayor
Mars and four councilmcn, all present
incumbents, were nominated
without opposition at the democratic
primary some weeks ago and the
general election will be a mere matter
of form.
NOTICE! SCHOOL ELECTION
Whereas, a petition has been
circulated in Pineville School District
No. 40 ^king for an election
or the purpose of voting an additional
tax of 4 mills for school purposes;
and whereas it appears to be properly
signed, an election is hereby called
to take place at the school house
in said district on Saturday April
24th.
Those in favor of the tax will
cast a ballot upon which there is t
written or printed the word "yes".'
