on the road that leads from Mr.
Junior Harper's to Mr. Luther Bowman's.
The colored population of our
town and surrounding communities
is a law-abiding church-going people.
There is no friction between the
races here, only a spirit of kindliness,
helpfulness and respect prevails. This
sneaks well for the Christian atti
tude and moral life of our pepole, at
a time when discord between the
races is so prevailent in many towns, j
The Hi^h School has closed for
one week on account of flu. Very
few families have escaped, but the
