Dr. J. R. Nickles, who can see to
the root of much of our tooth troubles,
will hereafter be able to see^
straight through us, for he has in-j
stalled a first-class X-ray machine in
his office. The machine arrived last
week and the doctor has already become
expert in operating it.
A Morning Rook Party.
Miss Ruth Beeks gave a delightful
party Friday morning at her
home on Pinckney street. Miss Ruth
always gives an enjoyable party and
Friday morning there were eight tables
of players beautiful score cards,
and refreshing ice cream and cake.

that he expects to receive cheeks for
the pension money of Confederate
Veterans Friday or Saturday of this

The Presbyterians worshipped in
the Methodist church Sunday morning
and night. Rev. J. L. Daniels
was out of town and invited the Presbyterians
to use his church. The Presbyterian
church is being renovated
and has been closed for service for
several weeks.
Working in Washington.
, Miss Rebecca Crawford, who visits
often in Abbeville at the home of her
sister, Mrs. T. M. Miller, has a
government position in Washington,
and left Thursday to begin her work.
Her friends wish her a pleasant and
profitable stay in the big city.
