Make This Beauty Lotion Cheaply
For Your Face, Neck, Arms and

At the cost of a small jar of ordinary
cold cream one can prepare a
full quarter pint of the most wonder- j

of two fresh lemons into a bottle'
containing three ounces of orchard
white. Care should be taken to
strain the juice through a fine cloth 1
so no lemon pulp gets in, then this!

Augusta, Ga., sent up that crack

THE CIVIC CLUB.
The Civic Club was reorganized
after a rest of two years, at a meeting
held Monday afternoon at the
Red Cross rooms.
The chief business of the afternoon
was a discussion of the plan to
build a hospital in Abbeville. The
plan met with the hearty approval of
';he Club and it was voted that the
club take a thousand dollars in stock
in the enterprise. A committee 01
ladies; Mrs. G. A .Neuffer, Mrs. Foster
McLane, Miss Maggie Brooks,
Mrs. J. L. McMillan and Mrs. D. A.
Rogers, were appointed to go over to
Greenwood and look over the hospi >1
at that place. This committee
will co-operate with the committee
of men having the hospital matter in
charge.
A remarkable sum of money was
-eserved to finish the Triangle, the
plans of which call -for a fountain
ind a marker commemorating the
last meeting of the Confederate Cabinet.
The election of officers resulted
in Mrs. Foster McLane being chosen
president, Mrs. Joe Wilson, vice president,
Mrs. C. H. McMurray, secretary
and Mrs. Rogers treasurer.
An active canvass will be made
for more members and under the
new officers, a successful year is
looked forward to.
ABBEVILLE HOSPITAL.
The Abbeville Memorial Hospital
is assured. The committee in charge
of raising subscriptions has now on
hand $9,600 and has enough more
pledges to make up the necessary
amount.
It is hoped to get the building renovated
and equipment here in order
to open the hospital by July 1.
The Civic Club has given the hospital
$1,000, which sum has been on
hand for ?ome time to be used for a
hospital when su?h an institution
should be established here.

FOUR SONS IN ARMY.
Marshal C. J. Lyon, of Greenville,
had four sons in the Army. These were
originally Abbeville boys. They L
| haye something of the courage of
I their father and did their full duty
in the war. Two of these were badr
wounded. David Wardlaw Lyon
had both of his legs shot to pieces
by shrapnel and by machine guns.
His limbs were horribly mangled. He was
sent home from France, but will F
be in the hospital for nine months
yet. Charles Joseph Lyon was gassI
ed and is still in France. John Lyon
is in the Navy and is now on the
?h seas. W. H. Lyon is in France. "
The government promised to take *
care of the two wounded soldiers 11
and to give each a four year oourse
in any of our best institutions. They ?
expect to accept the offer. Marshal
Lyon has occasion to feel proud of '
his sons.?A. R. Presbyterian.
