ELECTRIC /JWKIWU. ______ The Electric Cooking Demonstra-. tion, in which you are taught to cook, by wire, opened on Monday morning in the offices formerly occupied by Mr. J. C. Ellis. The Demonstr^-; tion is being given by the Water and Light Plant of the city, with a skill-,1 ed and good-looking young lady in charge. The Water and Light Company are' prepared to show you the convenien- | ces of electric cooking, as well as the comfort and healthfulness of it, and to give you an idea as to the ex-' pense. You will be shown also sample stoves, and be given the prices erf all: electric appliances. If you have not already called to ^ see the demonstration, it will pay you to do so at once. s - . MR. Botts, who was one of the policemen of the city for a number of years, was in the city on Monday. He is looking well and is gradually ( improving. He takes matters quiet on his farm near the city. The Calhoun Falls school, under :he direction of Miss Keith and Miss Ruth McLane had a Box Party in January for the purpose of making money to adopt a French orphan, The Greenwood Band furnished music throughout the evening and the occasion was thoroughly enjoyed bj everyone present. More than the amount needed was made?, and th< remainder of the proceeds will b? used for school supplies.
