Scripture lessons, teaching us the importance of such services in a time like this, were ready by Rev. J. F. Anderson. Prayers were offered in behalf of our cause and short talks given by our seveal pastors. Miss Mattie Lee Cooley, who has been teaching in the graded schools of Gaffney, is at home to spend the vacation season. ILowndesville takes great pride in educating' her sons and daughters and is proud of the record they are staking. Mr. and Mrs. J.. L. Gillis were recent visitors. B. Latimer of the U. S. A. Navy and Dr. W. L Latimer, two E-fi brothers, were also present for this ' august occasion Miss Latimer is one of Lowndesville'3 favorites.
