McDonald. Raymond Stilwell was absent from our city from Saturday until Tuesday, having spent the time with his home people and friends in McCormick. Mr. Roddey Devline of Greenwood, spent the past days in the city with 1 friends. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Black of near Anderson, has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. W. F. McCord of near Abbeville Miss Mary and Miss Hattie Bradford of Chester, sisters of Mrs. Ray * ford Power, have been her attractive guests during the Christmas holidays. Mrs. Jules G. Huguelet of Hamlet, is in the city on a visit to Mr. and Mrs. Joe T. Hughes, having been called here on account of the illness and death of little Rose Ellen Hughes Marion McDonald, of Atlanta, was in the city Christmas Day. Mr. Frank L. Hughes of Greeni ville came down Monday to aitend the funeral of his little niece, Rose vni TT T_ JEiiien naga^s. Mr. Brice Mills is up from Columbia visiting Mrs. Mills, who is here recuperating from a severe sickness. Mr. and Mrs. Frank B. Jones and little daughter, of Columbia, are in the city on a visit of several cays to friends and relatives. Misses Mary and Margaret Klugh are at home for this week. Miss Mary is teaching in Union, while Miss Manraret is at Columbia. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Klugh are expected ^ over from Rock Hill daring the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. George Clark are here from Augusta spending the holidays. Their friends are glad to have tii em* ' SJ C. E. Williamson was the guest of friends on Christmas day in Mt. Carmel. Miss Corrie Killingsworth was up from Columbia for several days of last week to see her sister, Mrs. Fannie Milford. She. returned to her work today. Worth Beacham was here from Florence Christmas day to see His parents, and other relatives. Miss Lula Turner of Spartanburg, is visiting her sister, Mrs. J. E. Jones, for a few days during her holiday vacation. Mr. and Mrs. John M. Gambrell spent Sunday and Monday most pleasantly with Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Cason of Anderson. Miss Georgia Edwards was here from Columbia for the Christmas holidays but returned to her work today. Mrs. P. Rosenberg returned home today from a lengthy stay with Mrs. Louis Levi. Mrs. Levi came home with her. Mr. and Mrs. Levi expect to make their home in our city in bhe future. Mrs. J. W. Baker left Tuesday norning for East Point, Ga., for an jxtended stay with her sister, Mrs. r. E. Guy. Miss Norma Cheatham came up from Columbia for the Christmas lolidays. Mr. Chalmers Hughes of Edgefield, came up last Monday to attend the funeral of his little niece, Rose Ellen Hughes. Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Kilgore of Clinton, spent a few days this week here with relatives. George P. Cannon of Anderson, spent a few days this week here with his mother. THE WINTHROP GIRLS AT HOME Misses Ruth Calvert, Maude and Clare Lou Adams, Mary Lou Bowie, Kate Haskell, Rebecca Jones, Marion Cason, Marion Mabry, are enjoying the Christmas season at their homes and are making things bright and lively, but will have to return to Winthrop on the 2nd to take up their studies again. IN THE HOSPITAL IN ATLANTA Friends will regret to know that it was necessary to take Mrs. J. Allen Smith, Jr., to St Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta for treatment last Thursday. Dr. J. C. Hill accompanied her to Atlanta. Mrs. Smith's many friends are glad to know that she is getting on very nicely. CLEMSON BOYS AT HOME. Floyd Graves, Clyde Graves, Earle Graves, Kempton Billings, Frank Thornton, Percy Leach, Albert and Alpheus and .
