spending two weeks here with friends
and relatives, have returned to their
home in Augusta.
Master Willie Talbert spent the
past week here with friends.
Mrs. A. J. Bristol of Bennettsville,
is spending some time here with her
sister, Mrs. J. E. Bradley.
Dr. C. C. Fuller attended the Denfkl
Association at Chick Springs.
* Mrs. G. S. Anderson and children,
have returned to their home in Augusta.
Miss Fannie Kate Marsh is attending
a house party at the home of Mr
and Mrs. P. D. Wilson of Fairfax.
Mr. D. Ledford was taken to the
Greenwood hospital last Monday evening
and successfully operated on
for appendicitis.
Mrs. Heffernan and daughters,
Misses Gertrude, Dorothy and Catherine
are visiting at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Rheney.
Mr. S. D. Giles and little William,
were business visitors in Augusta
last Monday and Tuesday.
Miss Kate Thurmond has returned
to her home here from Highlands
Hospital, Asheville, N. C., much improved
in health.
Mrs. G T Baughman and son, Brennecke,
have returned home after visiting
in Walhalla.
The Misses Printup of Augusta,
are spending some time in McCormick
as the quests of the Misses Con
nor.
Mr. Raymond Stillwell of Abbeville,
is visiting relatives here.
Visitors at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. F. C. Robinson are Misses Dorothy
Havis, Jessie Means Thomson,
Annie McMillan? Permelia Jennings,
and Mrs. R. T. Jennings, of Columbia,
Misses Roseda Talbert and Marie
Blackwell of Parksville, and Hattie
Newby of Graniteville.
Messrs Ben Bramblett, Stanley
Newman and W. E. Rheney, Jr., left
McCormick last week for Camp Styx,
five miles of Columbia, where they
expect to join the engineering corps.
Mrs. M. E. Weed of Athens, Ga.,
is visiting relatives in McCormick.
,' Mr. Ellis Huguley of Anderson,
spent the week-end here with relatives.
Miss Bertha Sturkey has accepted
a position with the auditor, Mr. C. W
Pennal, as his book-keeper and stenographer.
