Mrs. Belvin visited in the Ebenezer section with Rev Belvin Saturday. ******** * DUE WEST. * ******** Rev. P. A. Pressly, of Louisville, Ga., has been conducting a series of meetings for the Y. M. C. A., of Erskine, preacing twice a day. In the absence of the pastor, Rev. J. P. Pressly, he filled the pulpit in the A. R. P. church Sabbath morning and evening, preaching very able and instructive sermons. Rev. and Mrs. J. P. Pressly are : expected home from Florida this J week. Dr. Mason Young, who has been in Chicago for several weeks sailed on February 4th for Soochow, China, i He will be located in the same hos-? pital as his cousin. Miss Irene McCain. Mark Grier. missionary in China, suffered a stroke of paralysis about Christmas. Miss Mary Ranson spent the weekend in Ninety Six. Mrs. Leila Todd and Mrs. C. B. Mrs. Gibert was the recipirnt of many beautiful and useful >resents. Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Wilson of Jrainridge, entertained on Tuesday, he 15th of February, in honor of heir China wedding. The decorations were Southern Smilax and Jonquils, the color icheme was green and yellow. Young and daughter, Miss Daisy and Mrs. John McCaslan spent Saturday afternoon with the writer. We have on our sick list this week Master Charley Brown, Carl Young, Charley Young and John Spence. John is a real sick boy and we hope he will soon be well. Mrs. E. C. Young and little ones, were the guests in our nome last Thursday. Mr. J. A. Brown dined with Mr. J. A. Young Monday. Mr. C. C. Clinkscales was through here Friday on business. The writer and little ones, most pleasantly spent last Tuesday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Spence. Misses Maggie and Alma Young spent. Wednesday night with Mrs. J. I). Creswell. Messrs Joe and Cowan Young are busy placing down a saw-mill on Mr S. T. Young's place and will be ready for business in a few days. These boys seem to love the sound of the saw. The farmers around are busy plowing as the weather is still lovely. Mrs. H. G. Bowen and little Roy Young celebrated their birthdays last week. The peach and pear trees are in full bloom around here. Miss Annie Lee Talbert, teacher af the Fairfield school, called Thursday to see little John Spence. John is one of Miss Annie Lee's pupils.
