Mr. Albert Rosenberg came home
this week from a stay of several
weeks in Baltimore at Johns Hop
kins. He is greatly improved in
health and leaves this week for Charleston,
where he will enjoy the surf,
the fishing and the pretty girls. He
- takes the Press and Banner with
him, which will add the finishing
touch to a pleasant vacation.
Mr. Joe T. Hughes went up to
Greenville this week to attend the
funeral of his niece, Helen, the
eleven year old daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Frank L. Hughes. The little
girl's death was the result of a fall
which caused a fracture of the skull.
She was an only daughter and sincere
sympathy is felt for the bereaved
parents.
Miss Mary Greene has returned to
her home in Abbeville after spending
several days here at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. E. D. Andrews as the guest
of Miss Annie Laurie. While in the
city there were given several delight
ful parties in her honor.?Greenwood

We asked a good looking man
Monday to tell us the news and he
replied that "Mr. Peebles went up
to Greensboro Sunday to see his
girl." What we can't understand
is why some Abbeville girl hasn't kidnapped
Mr. Peebles and put a stop
to any such expensive journeys.
Mrs. J. F. Bradley entertained at
a pleasant tea party last Thursday
night complimentary to Miss Devlin.
Her guests were Miss Devlin, Miss
Lilly Clark, Misses Margaret and
Mary Klugh and Mrs. C. H. McMur
ray.
Mrs. Eugene Stewart came over
from Winnsboro Saturday and is
visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.
H. Greene in the Gilgal section. She
is accompanied by her fine looking
young son, Eugene.
Mrs. Flemmon Smith of Toccoa.
Ga., is in the city visiting her friends
and relatives for two weeks. Sh?
