Smith Martin, of WU liamston, attended the International Mis sionary Convention at Anderson last week aud at its close came to" this place..and were guests of Dr. T. 0. Klrkpatrick, a brother-in-law of the llrst. The llrst was pastor of the Methodist church in this placo several years ago and waa very pop ular as a minister and socially with our people. His stay here was so very short on his last visit that few of his old friends had the pleasure of- even seeing him. Miss Clara Belle Cooley, of Willlamston, spent several days of last week with Mr.j T. D. Cooley (her cousin) and family. Miss Annie Brooks Marshall, of Green wood, was for some days the guest of her friend, Miss .Ellen Tennant, last ween. Miss Jennie Harper who bad spent some time in Greenwood with her sister and family enrue over here last week and at tended the wedding festivities of her niece, Miss Elolse Harper, and Mr. Theron Alleri, will spend some time with the family of her brother, Mr. E.
