Robertson, of Columbia, was in the city for several days last week. Mrs. Thomas S. Clay cume to Abbeville lust Wednesday to attend the funeral of hor grand mother, Mrs. Sophia Harden. Mrs. Clay will spend sometime here with her aunt, Mrs. Anna M. Maxwell, before returning to her home in Savannah. Mrs. W. C. Beattie is here from Winns boro, spending sometime with her daugh ter, Mis. J. C. Thomson. Mrs. J. C. Boper lias returned home af ter an extended visit to friends In Tren ton. Mrs. It. C. Philson is spending sometime with her home people in Columbia. Mrs. G. E. Calvert and little Miss Mar tha Calvert, are at home again after a short stay with Mrs. J. F. Lindsay in Washington, Ga, Mrs. J. L. McMillan is at home again after spending sometime in Antreville with Mrs. Albert Power. Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Cunningham, of Monterey, were shopping in the city Thursday. Dr. and Mrs. P. B. Speed were among the visitors who attended the Arnold Beattie wedding in Greenwood Tuesday. Mr. Edward Harden Smith, who is a student at McCullie school in Chattanooga, Tenn., left Monday after spending awhile hero. He was called home on account of the death of his grandmother, Mrs. S. H. Harden. Mr. C. D. Brown and Mr. C. D. Brown, Jr., spent Monday in Honea Path. Mrs. Louis Levi has gone to her home In Manning after a pleasant stay here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. Rosen berg. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Cheek, of Clemson were in the city last weok to attend tho funeral of Mrs. John A. Cheek. Mrs. Richard Rogers has been here from Atlanta spending sometime with Mr. and Mrs. W. H.
