Anderson, ) 1 Attention is called to the concert of action among the orphan institutions of South " Carolina with regard to a special work daj effort Satuaday, September, 25, next s Thornwell Orphanage, Connie Maxwell Orphanage ana Epworth Orphanage havt ' definitely planned for the su<;ces6 of th< day and are circulating literature upon tht ' subject. We presume that every orphar institution, of whatever size or undei ? whatsoever auspices, will be tflad to hav< its friends remember it on this day. The plan is simple enough. Let everj lK>y and girl, every man and woman, young and old, devote the income of the> day tc i the Orphanage of his choice. Some of th( r children may pick cotton, others maj gather up old iron and sell it, some will dc t odd jobs, others will devote their salarj or wages of that day to the care of the or phans. Coming down to the plain truth, is there any cause that warms the cockles of th< heart like the plea for the fatherless? Lei all the people join in the work day effori Sept. 25, and roll up a big amount for th< I orphans, and forward the same to such in j stltution as each may select. 0 * I One of the offlolala of the Dispensary say that If all who bought wet goods on Mooda: 1 vote for the Dispensary the prohlba are lost i ' , THE LETHE SCHOOL.
