afternoon. She has many friends and
acquaintances in the Capital City, which Is
an additional attraction to the greater pleasure.

Mr. O. L. Cloud, of Atlanta, wa* in town
Monday for a few hours'. He came on business
to see some one at the railroad shops,
but he gave pleasure to many'old friends by
meeting tbem. Mr. Cloud Is now a railroad
contractor and the builder of great dams
across tbe streams to create power for ?he development
of electricity to run machinery
and traction oars. He is now aJ work on s
big dam near Rockingham, Is. C. whicb
plant belongs to the owners of Calboun Falls
on Savannah river. Some twelve or flfleen
years ago Mr. Cloud was one of the most popular
young men of our city. His fortune
then had not been made and it was thought
* atone time that be would carry captive one
of our youne ladies, but another won the
prize. Mr. Cloud is looking well, and w<
know that he is healthy, happy aud prosperous.

Supervisors shall register all persons
who may -make application therefor
and who may be entitled thereto. '
Sec. 3. That for the purpose or

said Supervisor shall keep the books of
registration open at the several county

six p. m., during the months of July
> and August, 1908; aud in addition
