the bridal. Nobody wanted to get near bis
feet, which seemed to move with wonderful
suppleness. Tbe animal was tormented until

wayside ditch. Mr. Wilson did not say bad
words. His aunt and a preacher were present,
and for this reason be made no sort ol

The wounded folk will rrcover from their

Is tbat Mr. W. D. Barksdale during tbe
evening was not acquainted with the'facts
and knew nothing ot bow near be came to
losing a first class bend clerk and bookkeeper.
Mr. Wilson has for a long time been
head clerk and book-keeper for Mr. Barksi
dale, hading merchant of this city, who does
a big business. In a few years be has grown
to be one of tbe richest men In town.
Mr. Birktdale Is now In bis elegant new
store In the Realty Company's block, wbtre
a host ot customers keep bis cleiks busy. In
bis new quarters Mr. Bnrksdale's business
has increased so tbat be Is selling more than
be ever sold before In tbe same length ol
lime. His force as now constituted, Is composed
