Among the wonderful stories of industrial progress in the South none is more amazing than that of the growth of the Cotton Seed Oil ^ industry. Years aero, after tbo cotton was ginned. the seed was thrown away as worthless; in fact it was regarded as a nuisance. ^ Today cotton 6eed contributes millions of dollars annually to the wealth of the ^outh. ^ Improved processes of crushing the seed and $ refining the oil have resulted in a product equal to tbe finest olive oil in nutritive value. From it is produced a cooking fat which is rapidly replacing lard. This cooking fat (called COTTOLENE) la claimed by physicians to be purer, and much more wholesome than lard, and it is more economical, too. As this fact becomes generally recognized, the use of CottonSeed Oil in the form rr of COTTOLENE will be practically unlimited. COTTOLENE is destined to become the ra- o' tional. national shortening.
