I?;*: f ' ReHkIooh Services. Religious services were held In the Associate Reformed church, last Thursday morning where a great cumber of our people bfsembled to give thanks lor the manifold blessings which we have received and enJoy. A few regard the day as one for religious thoughts and exercises. A greater number seem to think that the proper observance of the day consists In cruelty to Inoffensive and defenseless creatures. There Is still pco:ber slass who desecrate the day by looking upon the wine when it glveth Its color in the cup. From our own view point: Thankful hearts In religious services, and rational or Innocent pleasures, is the proper way to observe the day.
