Death or Sr. BrooKs.
James M. Brooks of this city died last Sunday
morning, after a lingering Illness, at tbe
age ot 56 years. He was u good mechanic and
was * member of several secret societies
which paid proper respect to tbe memory of
tbelr deceased brother.
He was burled at Long Cane.

be put on trial again on April 10th for
the murder of Caesar Young, the
wealthy sport with whom she was
infatuated, whom she is charged with
shooting in a cab wbile on his way to
